Your website deserves the same time and planning you would put into a business plan. If your website doesn't have a purpose it's not going to achieve results for your business.

If your website is difficult to navigate or takes too long to load you’ll lose visitors very quickly. Everybody’s attention span seems to dwindle when on the Internet so show them what they are looking for up front (quickly) and then guide them through your website.

Email is your contact with the world

Provide a pre formatted email response form with drop down lists or you won’t know what they want. Email users tend to assume you already know what they want. I have had many emails sent with no information other than a phone number.

Forms can be programmed to check for correct user input and not allow the email to be sent until required information is supplied. This feature is supported by most browsers but not all.
